Mathay Ballinger Park is a cozy small park near Lake Ballinger at 78th Avenue and 241st Street  (GPS: 47.7812° N -122.3385° W).

Mathay Ballinger Park offers a children’s play area, several picnic tables, a basketball court, and a nice grassy hillside to spread out a picnic lunch or just enjoy the sun.

This is one of Edmonds’ dog-friendly parks. Dogs are allowed in this park as long as you obey the leash and scoop laws of Edmonds.

Here is the children’s play area. You can see a picnic table and barbecue stand this side of it.

There’s plenty of great grass to enjoy. Another picnic table is visible by the tree. There is also a basketball half-court on the far side.
